There has been a growing interest in renewable energy in the recent years. This trend was primarily initiated through calculation for potentials, which was followed by the application of new technologies. Technological applications of solar power are implemented for heating, electricity production and agricultural irrigation in general. Photovoltaic battery applications have gained a great momentum for electricity production throughout the world. The archaic methods employed for dimension analysis of photovoltaic irrigation systems take into consideration solely the requirements of hydraulic energy. Contrary to these methods, this paper uses a systematic approach to the problem and analyses all the fragments and components of the system. In this paper, the energy requirements of a potato producing enterprise is established, which was chosen in accordance with the agricultural structure of Niğde province. And the results indicate that agricultural irrigation requires a great deal of energy consumption. The economic gain of obtaining this energy need from sun changes depending on the Project design, application and use of the produced electricity. In this paper, these problems are studied with different scenario of application.Downloads
