Key Management Terminology in Agricultural Practices: A Literature-Based Survey

This study examines the relative visibility and thematic trends of core management science concepts in the agricultural literature using bibliometric methods. The analysis is based on English-language articles published between 2015 and 2025 and indexed in the Web of Science and Scopus databases. The literature search focuses on sustainability, innovation, risk management, digital transformation, and strategic planning concepts. The findings indicate that sustainability and innovation are the most dominant themes in both databases, whereas risk management and digital transformation show limited visibility, and strategic planning emerges as the least represented concept. Although Scopus yields higher absolute publication counts than Web of Science, the relative ranking of concepts remains consistent across databases. In addition, a keyword co-occurrence analysis conducted using the Web of Science dataset reveals a small but thematically clustered structure and shows that digital transformation-related concepts have gained prominence particularly after 2020. Overall, the results highlight an uneven distribution of management science concepts in the agricultural literature and point to significant research gaps in specific management domains.
