This study was conducted with 150 final-year students enrolled at the Faculty of Agriculture of Ondokuz Mayıs University and examined the relationship between students’ green entrepreneurship intentions and the extent to which these intentions transform into actual behaviors. The scale used in the study consists of four sub-dimensions: The Green Entrepreneurship Intention, the Green Entrepreneurship Behaviour, the University Education Support, and the Green Consumption Commitment. The findings reveal that gender, marital status, and employment significantly influence students’ green entrepreneurship tendencies. Male students scored higher in entrepreneurial intentions and behaviors, while married students exhibited stronger tendencies across all dimensions compared to their single counterparts. Employed students achieved notably higher results particularly in entrepreneurial intentions. In contrast, no statistically significant differences were found across age groups or academic departments. The most remarkable finding is that students who were already familiar with the concept of green entrepreneurship demonstrated higher tendencies in all sub-dimensions as well as in the overall scale. This highlights awareness and knowledge as critical factors in strengthening entrepreneurial intentions and behaviors. The results further underscore the pivotal role of universities in fostering green entrepreneurship tendencies among agriculture students. The study shows that students’ levels of awareness and conceptual knowledge are decisive in shaping their intentions and behaviors. Therefore, integrating green entrepreneurship-focused courses into curricula, expanding project-based practical training, and promoting entrepreneurship workshops are essential. Such initiatives will support students’ orientation toward sustainability-driven business models and, in the long term, enable the emergence of entrepreneurial practices that provide both environmental and economic benefits.
